NEW SINGLE FIREMAN HITS AUSTRALIA February 10
PAULINI is back.
Fireman, available on iTunes from February 10, is PAULINI’s hot and steamy new track, rumoured to be highly indicative of her forthcoming album set for release mid-2012.
With three double-platinum singles and albums to her name, the graduate from Australian Idol’s most successful season has self-penned
Fireman which is currently burning up club dance floors before its service to radio at the end of January.
PAULINI’s idea for her infectious new hit was born in New York last year, where she was writing for her upcoming album.
“I was walking down the street in Brooklyn when a fire truck drove past with its sirens blaring and this group of women literally started screaming with excitement as these impressive firemen drove past. It made me think, ‘these guys are so well loved and are too often over-looked as heroes’. So I began writing a cheeky song to celebrate firemen worldwide, for all the ladies and lovers.”

Fireman [View Behind Scenes] as mentioned above unveils her new look and sound alongside a team of New South Wales Firefighters, including Mr January and Mr December of the NSW Firefighter's Calendar for 2012. As well as lending their bodies and hearts to PAULINI’s project, this group of men work tirelessly year-round raising funds for the Westmead Children's Hospital. PAULINI will continue working with her new collaborators as she is the official Ambassador for the World Firefighters Games in 2012 in which will see her perform
Fireman at various events nationally, leading up to the event in Sydney in October.
“After working closely with the Firies here in Australia and witnessing their caring natures, kindness, fun sense of humour and all the good that they do for the community, I’ve got to say, they’re kind of the ideal man. And, yes”, she adds with a mischievous grin, “they’re all in pretty good shape too!”
Fireman was co-written and recorded in Germany with international songwriters, Alfred ‘The Angel’ Tuohey and Mimoza Blinsson. The track has already proven to be popular with producers as further remixes have also been created by 'The Angel', Pop Embassy, Digital Love and Peachy & Murphy. The fun and sexy video clip was also directed by acclaimed Photographer Peter Brew-Bevan.
So where’s PAULINI been? The young Fijian-born songstress has come a long way since winning the hearts of a nation in 2004 on the first television series of Australian Idol with her angelic, five octave vocal range and engaging personality. After a string of #1 hits and multiple platinum selling albums - both solo and with the Young Divas - PAULINI has added song writing to her well established musical accolades.
Since inking a publishing deal 18 months ago, signing with Alberts' Music (home of AC/DC, Gotye, David Guetta and Vanda and Young), PAULINI has built up an impressive catalogue as a songwriter, with five tracks already released in Spain, Japan, South Africa, Germany and The Netherlands.
After releasing the duet 'Believe Again' with Ronan Keating in Europe and Australia last year, PAULINI’s international scope widened again as she recently charmed audiences in China at both the Guangzhou and Shanghai Volkswagen Table Tennis Cup 2011 Championships, prompting another single release of her song 'Show Me Your Colours (Ping Pong Mix)' in the Asian market last year.

Australian club tour throughout February and March, along with performances at the Mardi Gras festivities in Sydney. Dates will be announced shortly.
PAULINI has also been invited to open the German Table Tennis Championships in March 2012 and will continue on to New York City for a series of performances throughout April at Susan Sarandon's Table Tennis nightclub SPiN.
