Mini Biography
Born in Suva, Fiji and raised in Australia, Paulini has built a career around a voice that is instantly recognisable - powerful, soulful and capable of commanding everything from an intimate room to a major stage.
Australia was first introduced to Paulini in 2003, when she became a finalist on the inaugural season of Australian Idol. Her performances quickly established her as one of the competition's standout vocalists and marked the beginning of a career that would extend far beyond reality television.
In 2004, Paulini released her debut album, One Determined Heart, which debuted at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified Platinum. Its lead single, Angel Eyes, also reached No. 1, becoming one of the defining releases of her early career and establishing Paulini as a recording artist in her own right.
Her career continued to evolve through further solo releases and her time as a member of the Young Divas, where she performed alongside some of Australia's most recognised female vocalists. The group achieved commercial success with its interpretations of classic pop and disco records, while giving Paulini another platform to showcase the vocal range and live performance ability for which she had become known.
Over the years, Paulini has continued to expand beyond the recording studio. Her versatility has taken her into musical theatre, where she stepped into leading and featured roles in major Australian productions including The Bodyguard, Saturday Night Fever, Hair, Chess the Musical and Grease. These productions allowed her to combine powerhouse vocals with acting, movement and the demands of live theatre, adding another dimension to her career as a performer.
Television has remained part of that journey too. From the stage that first introduced her to Australia, Paulini has returned to national screens through entertainment programs, live broadcasts and special appearances, including The Masked Singer, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, Eurovision - Australia Decides and Dancing with the Stars.
But live performance remains at the heart of what Paulini does.
Across more than two decades in the Australian entertainment industry, she has performed at concerts, theatre productions, television events, gala dinners, charity functions, corporate celebrations, sporting occasions and major public events. Whether backed by a full production or performing in a more intimate setting, her ability to connect with an audience remains central to every performance.
Today, Paulini continues to evolve as an artist while bringing together every part of that experience - recording artist, vocalist, theatre performer and entertainer.
From national broadcasts and major productions to some of Australia's most recognised stages, hers is a career built not simply around having an extraordinary voice, but knowing how to use it to create a moment.
Powerful. Versatile. Authentic. And unmistakably Paulini.
